About

I will work to understand your unique experiences, struggles, strengths, and goals before creating a customized treatment plan for your specific needs. I offer a space where you can feel genuinely heard without judgment. My aim is for you to experience validation, empathy, and practical help in our sessions and to leave equipped with tools to handle daily trials. I will also strive to help you grow spiritually by exploring how faith, biblical truth, identity in Christ, prayer, and trust in God can provide greater confidence, wisdom, and hope throughout life’s challenges.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor

My goal as your counselor is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and challenged toward meaningful growth. Through our time together, my hope is for you to gain a greater understanding of yourself, develop healthier ways to navigate your life and emotions, feel supported, and become more confident in navigating life’s challenges. Spiritually, I hope you will grow in your trust in God, strengthen your faith, and better understand your identity and hope found in Christ as you move toward healing and growth.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

I offer a supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can feel heard, understood, and encouraged as we work through challenges together. I will listen to the unique details of your story and work with you to establish goals that are meaningful to you. As counseling progresses, I will provide practical tools and evidence-based strategies to help build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and create healthier patterns while encouraging growth through biblical truth and faith.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

I will meet you where you are with empathy, grace, intentionality, and truth. I believe healing begins when people have a safe place to be honest about their struggles, feel heard without judgment, and receive support as they navigate difficult seasons of life. I will walk alongside you through challenges while providing guidance, encouragement, and clinical care that supports growth emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. My aim is to help you recognize God’s presence in difficult circumstances and deepen your trust in Him as you move toward healing.

Biography

Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi College and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University. I am Certified in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have also completed trainings in couples therapy, including Prepare/Enrich.

I have extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which form the foundation of my clinical approach. I also have training and experience in play therapy techniques, which I incorporate when working with children and adolescents.

My Call to Christian Counseling

I have always had a desire to help others, especially those who have walked through difficult journeys and experiences. I felt drawn to hear people’s stories, walk alongside them in hard seasons, and provide empathy, support, and faith-based guidance to help them heal and grow.

As I studied psychology and also became involved in mission work, church involvement, and counseling opportunities, I became increasingly confident that God was calling me to serve others through mental health counseling. What began as a desire to help children and families has since expanded into a passion for serving individuals, couples, and families of all ages.

More About Me/On a Personal Note

I enjoy sports and staying active. I’m a huge movie buff and enjoy becoming familiar with a wide variety of movies and genres. I enjoy discovering new films and television shows while also revisiting old favorites. I also value opportunities to relax, spend time with friends and family, and make meaningful memories with the people closest to me.

Anxiety

If anxiety has left you feeling overwhelmed, constantly worried, mentally exhausted, or stuck in patterns of fear and overthinking, you do not have to navigate it alone. Anxiety can make it difficult to feel present, rest well, make decisions, and fully engage in daily life. I help you better understand what is fueling anxiety, develop healthier ways of responding to stress, and build confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges as you move toward greater peace and stability.

Trauma

Difficult experiences can impact how we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. Trauma can leave lasting effects emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can process difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable while working toward healing and restoration. Together, we will work to reduce the impact trauma has on your daily life, strengthen coping skills, and help you move forward with greater freedom, hope, and healing.

ADHD

ADHD can impact focus, organization, emotional regulation, motivation, relationships, and day-to-day responsibilities. Whether you are a child, teenager, or adult struggling with ADHD-related challenges, counseling can help increase understanding of how ADHD uniquely affects your life while identifying strengths and developing strategies that support success. My goal is improved functioning and strengthened emotional awareness so you can thrive rather than simply manage symptoms.

Counseling for Teens

The teenage years can bring very unique challenges related to identity, emotions, relationships, school stress, family dynamics, and navigating life transitions. My goal is to create an environment where teenagers feel comfortable opening up, heard, understood, and respected while learning healthy ways to navigate challenges and express emotions.

Men’s Issues

Men often carry stress, expectations, struggles, and burdens that can feel difficult to talk about or navigate alone. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, anger, life transitions, identity concerns, or feeling stuck, counseling can provide a space to process what you are carrying without judgment. Many men feel pressure to handle difficulties on their own because of the messages they have received throughout life. My goal is to help men better understand themselves, strengthen emotional health, improve relationships, and develop greater confidence and resilience while also encouraging growth spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
